Compass Insights Launch Announcement

After more than three years working at the London CIV, I have now left to start my very own ESG analytics and advisory platform. Departing from this organisation, which has become an integral part of my professional journey was undoubtedly one of the most challenging decisions I’ve ever had to make.

I’m very proud of the work we have achieved during my time at LCIV, alongside our investment team and partner funds. Most notably, in October 2021, London CIV committed to reach Net-Zero by 2040, becoming the first local authority pension pool to do so. I am also extremely grateful to have been recognised as the Rising Star at the 2022 Local Authorities Pension Fund awards as a result of these achievements.
 
However, after three rewarding years, it is now time for me to start a new chapter.

During my time at London CIV, it became ever so clear that the investment industry is suffering from an ESG skills gap. There are a lot of people talking about ESG but not enough doing the work. This gap is poised to intensify as investment firms grapple with an ever-expanding list of disclosure regimes including TCFD, SFDR, SDR, and TNFD. These reporting efforts are extremely resource-intensive, diverting attention from other critical tasks such as ESG investment and risk analysis. I believe small investment firms and pensions funds with limited resources are acutely exposed to this issue.

Therefore, I am thrilled to announce the launch of my own ESG analytics and and advisory service. This venture aims to bridge the ESG skills gap by providing actionable insights, allowing investment firms to navigate the evolving landscape efficiently. I believe existing solutions have failed to address this. More details to follow!
